PLEASE check that you have completed the pre-exam assignments, if applicable, and that you bring the required items (graphing calculator, pens in specific colors, etc) on testing day.

Also, please be sure to bring a photo id with you on testing day. We must verify that the correct person is taking the exams.
House Bill 5
On June 12, 2013, the 83rd Texas legislature signed House Bill 5 into effect which will now require High School students to pass only five State of Texas Assessments of Academic Readiness (STAAR) End of Course exams to meet graduation requirements.

The five assessments under House Bill 5 include Algebra I, English I, English II, Biology, and US History.

Assessments in Algebra II, Geometry, English III, Physics, Chemistry, World Geography, and World History have been eliminated from the testing requirements. As a result, the July 2013 STAAR administration will not include assessments for these courses. If your child failed one of these exams in the spring they will not be required to retest this summer and will not take the summer school remedial courses in these subject areas.

The only End of Course exams for the July 2013 retest will be English I and II (Reading and Writing), Biology, US History, and Algebra I.
